Macaron Day

(Wilfred Sabine Dress, Spring flats, TNA anorak jacket, Danier bag, Fossil Watch, J.Crew bracelet)

Here's to celebrating our sweet tooth, also known as Toronto's Macaron Day, which past two days ago. We decided to try out Butter Avenue Patisserie & Cafe on Yonge Street. They offer 20 flavors of macaron and 25 percent of the purchases went as proceeds to the Red Door Family Shelter! If you're not up for eating macarons, they offer coffee, tea, cake, or tarts. But who can resist macarons? Salted Caramel, Matcha,  Earl Grey and White Chocolate Strawberry being my top choices. Wished we sat longer at the cafe, but it started to get crowded and work awaited me at home. I ended up having a picnic and working on the laptop while sharing my macarons.

Hello Spring

(Lulu shirt, thrifted velvet tank, MANGO jeans, Zara belt, gifted Aldo heels, Danier bag, Fossil Watch, J.Crew bracelet)

Seeing that the warm weather has greeted everyone in Toronto with open arms makes blogging a more favourable option rather than doing work. To celebrate the nice weather change, I present to you my pink pastel ensemble and second post! Since this post was about yesterday, I'll be posting about today in tomorrow's post. More content on Hamilton will soon come once we get back to Hamilton this weekend!

Don't forget to see Matt Fonz's snapshots of the 'Girls! Girls! Girls!' Opening Night from Hamilton's March Art Crawl on our Tumblr!

Still Keeping it Steel

Hello readers!

As promised! The delay is finally over, and new updates will be made. First, we'd like to welcome you to Steel Oneself's brand new blog! But not to worry guys, we will still do our best to continue our tumblr and tweet on our twitter. To address a few things: this blog will be our open photo journal of our finds in Hamilton and its culture, but not only that, we are going to include Toronto. This blog will allow you to get to know us more, by featuring more on our personal style, cool places, good food, good design and only the best for our readers! As many of you have noticed, Matt and I have been on and off with our tumblr since we are both very busy dealing with work and school in Toronto. In our spare time, we try to come back to Hamilton every weekend (especially for the art crawls!) and do what we do best. Since we are both traveling back and forth from Toronto and Hamilton, we decided, why not expand and include our personal takes on Hamilton and Toronto. We hope you enjoyed this post! Let us know what you think!
